running with no alternator


for a basic non-street stang, how long would a standard fully charged battery last with no alternator? no stereo, no lights, no unnecessary electronics

mmhmm, i'd agree, It wouldnt be too long, then you'd have to charge it again, which would be a PITA if you ask me

Well my stock sixxer lasted about an hour when my alternator went out. I turned off all my unneeded electronics and just barely made it home when it did. After about 40 minutes though the engine started losing power fast.

Remember that WOT will pull some serious amps and you could run lean and pop the engine if you don't keep tabs on the AFR.
