more bass?

hey guyz i have the mach 460 i put a new head unit in a sony xplod one it has 1 set of preamp outputs on the back my question is when i put in the new hu the subs that come stock arent as loud as they were before which sucks so is there a way i could get the subs that are in there now to be loud like the stock hu or should i run rca cables from the new hu pre-amp out to an amp then put a sub in the back?

We had a few people with the same problem and it turns out that they didnt have power to the factory amp.

Have you gone thru the equalizer settings and fine tuned everything? Most aftermarket head units have a "loud" feature. All it does is give you about a 30%increase in volume and bass. Have tou messed with this feature yet?

Called D-bass actually gut I think it's more of a problem with the voltage from the RCA's.factory stuff would usually run a lower line out voltage than an aftermarket h/u but I know some Sony h/u have a relatively low line out voltage.See if you can adjust the gain on the factory amp.You probably can't but see any ways, then move onto the option of running RCA's back to the amp but I'm pretty sure there are no RCA inputs on that factory amp(all wires i think) Good luck because low bass sucks unless it's a 30hz type of low!
