Just get an alternator out of a 4.0L F150 and you will be golden!

if you are not having trouble starting or keeping the battery charge up, the alternator wont be an issue. a battery is the same; if the battery keeps the voltage, it is not a problem. alternators and batteries alone wont increase power at all, but adjusting pulley sizes on the alternator will route engine power away from the electrical system and for the drivetrain. electrical mods aside from spark timing will not get you more power.

The reason you are having issues with your audio is because they draw so much current in sudden short bursts and your charging system cannot handle such a draw at such a quick interval. The voltage regulator inside the alternator cannot keep up with the quick pace of the audio resulting in problems. I seen alot of people in the past put a capacitor in the system to give the bass a backup in case the electrical system could not handle the load. BUT without knowing exactly what the car is doing it is hard to tell what area needs attention.

well a capasitor is just a band-aid, won't solve the problem, my car wouldn't start the other day because I was showing the system to a friend and playing it quite loudly while the car was idleing. I have found I have to drive the car to recharge the battery after playing the system at high volumes. what happens is, the battery drops to 10.5, and the alternator tries to catch up, and starts overcharging, in the end I fry my battery and my alternator, now if I get a deep cycle yellow top, it can handle the drops in voltage without losing battery life, What my question is, is will a stronger alternator be able to help keep up with the system.

If you are depleting your battery like that then I suggest a bigger alternator. Regardless it shouldn't overcharge the battery so the voltage regulator in your alt. may be shot.

yeah get the cap so it doesn't hurt your battery as much and a new alternator cause the energy draw comes first comes the cap then the battery and the cap should have a step up coil in it to amplify the power charging it so to be safe i would get the alternator too.
