Bass cutting in & out in front speakers of Mach 460 syst

In both my 98 GT & 03 Mach 1, the bass in the front door speakers cuts in and out when the volume is cranked pass halfway. I'm not sure if the speakers in my 98 GT are stock or aftermarket. However, the front door speakers in my 03 Mach 1 are Sony Xplodes which I just installed because the vehicle was wrecked in the driver's side which ruined that door's speaker. Has anyone had this problem, and, if so, do they have any suggestions on how to remedy this problem?

I have an aftermarket amp and my speaks will do the same thing. It's something to do with the electronics in the front of the car but I never really looked into it.

they are aftermarket speakers and most likely 4ohm .. stock speakers are higher and the amps will clip and cut out with aftermarket speakers or deck

the front amp (4 channel made to run the 4 smaller "TWEETERS" from 500+ hz can't handle the aftermarket setups properly) is a modulated system and your aftermarket amps should NOT be run from the outputs of that unless you turn your amp down or use the HI-LEVEL inputs.

just trim the base level out a bit if you need to turn it up over 1/2 way or install a non-pol resister to take the ohms back up to 6-8 ohms.
