I think I blew out!!!!

my stock sound system!! Some thing went wrong a few days ago. Usually my bass is pretty strong like it shakes the mirrors and vibrates my paints when I'm driving but now it's basically very very weak! doesn't shake mirrors and so on no more... I have bass turned all the way up too nothing... what could be wrong? The bass still hits but it's weaker.

Hmmm.....
Sounds like you could have blown the speakers -
Replace them with something better.

If you go with kicker don't get L5s get L7!

well i was thinking the subs went because the bass is what is missing. yet they still viberate the door, not as much as before though. I would say its at half the power it had.

How much money would a replacement cost me? I know if I got like kickers or some thing like that I would have to spend like 400 and I dont have that much money for a audio system.

Definitely sounds like you blew the coil in ur subs. i did this and the bas was fading in and out and all they did was flutter. So i bought JL's lol

yea i think you're right now ssstang! I noticed to day that the door speaker is making no sound... But how does a speaker ruin the bass? I thought the bass was only from the subs.

What is the cheapest audio set up I can get? I'm not too anal about the sound quality but I do like it to sound better then it is now, feels like the songs have no depth..

your polarization may be reversed. are your sure you connected the wires correctly to the speaker?

I guess I'll just go a head and get a completely new system...

What parts are needed to complete an audio system? I'm going to go to ebay and get the parts and install my self.

localize the damaged speaker and replace them as a set.

I know what speaker it is, its the one in my drivers side door. But I dont want it just to break again so I may want to look at a full system thats alittle better just to see if I can get that instead.

So this is all I'll need, for a complete new system? Subwoofers, speakers, amp and wires

well i doubt its a ground issue if ur using the factory harnis. now do all ur speakers do this or just one? if all do it, it could be the potentiometer that regulates your volume.
