A few problems...When I started my car, the theft light kept blinking sometimes. I drove with it once to see what would happen, and it kept blinking, but never stayed at the same interval. Another: when I started my car one morning, the guages swept all the way to the end and back. Yet another: this has happened about 7 times already... the radio cuts out and restarts itsself. It seemed to only happen when I went over bumps, but it has happened at random times at a standstill too. Today was the worst, the clock on the radio got reset(I had it perfectly to the second.) I have a headphone jack cassette thing so my friends can connect their MP3 players. My friend tried using it, but no sound. When I put in a CD, I had to turn it up more than 3/4ths of the way to hear it. I pushed the power button, and it didn't do anything. I turned off the car, but the radio stayed on. When I started the car again, the problem was gone. If it matters, I have the Mach 460 system. I also know very little about car audio or electronics. I'm guessing these problems are somehow related, but I have no idea where to look. Any help is apprecated. |

It's just a cable that goes from the headphone jack, and lets you play through an attached cassette.
Here's the best picture I could find: |

Just off bat, it sounds lik eyou have a loose wire, a short or maybe even your battery cables aren't making good connections. I'd check your battery cables for a good clean connection then go from there. Possibly check your fuse panel too make sure it's in good shape.
