Not sure. Just grab a 12v test light, and find a wire that works with the ignition. One of the wires on your stereo harness will have a feed for the remote feed.

Any stock stereo can be made to work with after market amplifiers, either utilizing an RCA converter or an amplifier that can accept high level input connections. The remote can be fed from the ignition source that feeds the deck.

No built in crossover network in the amp? Perhaps they just forgot to set the low pass filter on it.

Look for a low pass filter switch somewhere on the amp. If it has one, it should be set to 80 or 60 Hz. Meaning the filter in the amp won't allow frequencies higher than that to filter through to the subs.
