Subwoofer
Just the other day, I built a subwoofer box for a couple competition 10"'s. Currently Awaiting my amp and Subs in the mail. I know how to do all the wiring and such but I was wondering if anyone would have any good suggestions on making it so the wires are out of sight. The wire from the CD deck to the subs will go under back seats through back carpet and all the way through center console. The wire I am currently having an issue with is where to run the hotwire to the battery. Any suggestions are appreciated. And for Info its a 2004 non convertible. Also, was considering a amp cut off switch (cops here can impound your car for it being too loud) to replace one of the two blank spaces i have next to my rear defogger buttons. Any suggestions? If that part is too difficult I dont care, i can just turn volume down quick, just thought it would be cool.

the hot wire's gonna have to be run under the carpet too, maybe along the sides near the sill plate... that's the only place i can think of. Putting it under the car would be kinda sketchy... As far as the cut off goes, that sounds like a good idea! go to radio shack or something and get a round black rocker switch put it in the fog light blank and use that on the blue turn-on lead. That way it looks like it should be there. Good luck!

Okay, If I put it under carpet though, where would the ideal place to slip it through the firewall be?

Most likely where the main harness goes through, if not just drill one and pop a grommet in to prevent chafing. I have the mach 1000 system, so I don't know if there'd be a hole available on the standard stereo car. All I know is ford has hidden the wire on mine very well
