Amplifier?

i was wondering if i got these subs
eBay Link
then what amplifier would i need. im looking for a legacy 1 but i dunno what wattage i need because i have people telling me i need a 4000 watt amp and others telling me to go with the 2400 because its cheaper and you will still get the recommended rms.. but i don't know how much rms those amps are pushing

well theres no doubt in my mind that even both those subs have 4400 watts...ive never even heard of that. i wouldnt trust that but, u shulda put this in the electrical sections w/e its called. idk if u get 2 i'd suggest 2 amps, cuz u need one to control ur speakers too. i had a 1000 watt amp n sub and i blew the amp cuz it was powering the speakers and sub.
if there 1000 watt, im not 100% bout the whole electrical set up, but my guess is 2 1500watt amps are good

max peak isn't that high but they are good subs.. and the rms on the is actually about 800 so i was just thinking if i got those 2 12's with a 2400 watt amp shouldn't i be good?
anybody know any good amps that would work with these?

http://cgi.ebay.com/NEW-LEGACY-2-CHA...QQcmdZViewItem
and have that power them.. could that work? when i get all this im just going to take it to best buy and have them wire it all cuz i don't know how to do all that but i was going to lay the dynamat before i took it there so they wouldn't try to charge me for that too

i personally wouldnt get my amp on line or system, i get car parts online only cuz theres no place around here that sells most of what i need, plenty of places tho sell systems, they'll know whats best to for ur set up. i'd dot that. then report to us, and sum1 here whose good with that can tell u, or maybe sum1 will tell u b4 hand

but i wouldnt order a system online. especially off ebay, sumthings are good off ebay but sum u cant trust

I agree with coastie on this opinion bro - legacy is garbage (no offense leg lovers), there are better products on the market for less money and still produce the quality you are looking for.

Myself, I went with rockford fosgate and sony xplodes 12"ers for my setup and love it - deep rich sound and no vibration in the rear. Plus wiring your system is easy and you would be throwing a ton of money away letting a sound shop do it for ya.

Need any help running wires and whatnot, pm me and I will try and walk you thru it the best I can.

I would go with the 1600 RMS class D mono amp from Hifonics.

http://cgi.ebay.com/HIFONICS-BXi1606...QQcmdZViewItem

Hifonics is practically the best bang for the buck you can get. they put out rediculous wattage and only rate their products in RMS continous wattage not peak.

The subs are pretty good and their actualy rms rating is probably more safely around 800rms per sub. They have amazing SPL they just lack somewhat in SQL but for shear loudness and hard hitting bass, they do that very well.

Bro,a set of Rockfor Fosgate punch series 12"s off a Punch series 600.2 would eat those Audio Bahn's a new ass any day of the week!Audio Bahn subs are so crazy priced and are so power hungry it's nuts!! You can get the same SPL from a lower power system any day if you use quality componants(Alpine,RF,some Kenwood). Yes,I am biased and very adament twords RF.I've had a set of old school series 1 15" subs running off an old 200.2 RF amp for almost 10 years now! I still make all these rice burnin jap crap cars with thier systems roll up thier windows when they pull up near me! Every car I own/have owned I have put in RF components and had gr8 SQ,SPL and reliability.
The only thing I give credit to Audio Bahn for is thier insane xmax(excursion) but in accomplishing that they have made the actual cone so small you have to have like a 1000watt rms amp to just run 1 sub.

And yes Legacy,Boss, and Jensen are junk!

personally i believe that Rockford Fosgate is over-rated. they are an excellent brand dont get me wrong, but i have heard Audiobahn pound the shit out of Fosgate. When i had 1 Power Acoustik 12 i out-pouned a higher watt Fosgate system that had 2 12's. I now have the same Power Acoustik 12 and 2 Xplod 12'2. i will be changing my system to nothing but Power Acoustik when i get the money. the sound is great and their products are cheap. also you could check into Memphis Audio and Phoenix Gold... both are good systems as well.

I have to disagree with RF being as good of a sub as the Audiobahn...I have always loved audiobahn and have never had problems...RF on the other hand I have had prolems 3 out of the 4 tims I have used them...

Get the audiobahn and get the right amp to push it...

Each person is going to have their own feelings when it comes to subs...

I wasn't tryin to hurt any ones feelings but I've had every type of subs from the old school Pyradmids,Jensen,Legacy,AudioBahn,Alpine,B Cool, dude I can't even attempt to name them all! But yeah everyone has thier own feelings tword different brands. I have a buddy that has one of those little Suzuki cars(like a whopping 80rwhp i think!!haha) with all Boss in it from TV's signal processers, amps,DVD player, door speakers, and subs The thing sound awesome but You couldn't even give me all his shizit for free! I'm hell bent on RF because they have always treated me right.I would recommend them to everyone, but like I said, thats only my opinion.

You would need a Line Output Converter,an amp wiring kit and about 45 minutes. Line output converter will hook into the rear speaker wires and turn them into RCA(low level outputs) outs.Of course you'll have to run all the power wires to the amp(remote turn on and a fused power wire then a ground that is shorter than 3 feet long) and thats about it besides tweeking your amp.Gain is NOT volume! i would say never to turn the gain up past half way at max.
