I placed mine on the passenger side corner of the dash, inside the car. It picks up the signal fine, although it will go out occasionally if I'm driving under a bunch of trees or something. If you want perfect uninterrupted signal, you would have to attach it to the trunk, but I didn't like mine being there for obvious reasons.

Installed mine at first on the rear deck (inside) but like some other people said it goes in and out when your under trees. Now i place it on the trunk lid seen the trunk lid isnt mental I had to sticky tape it there. The signal is alot better but there are still some parts where i still lose it.
The best spot is on the roof of the car front or rear, every car I have done where i put it on the roof has great signal. Doesnt look great but you will hardly every lose the signal. |

In the Bullitt, I have the XM antenna under the trunk lid, attached to a metal plate that is screwed in to the underside of the trunk. And I have never had it drop out unless I am under an overpass or gas station awening.
