anyone ever part out a laptop and make a custom install carputer?

yea i've already looked through that site, there are a few mustangs on there...it seems like they either just use the laptop with a docking station or use a desktop...

I had one in My 3000GT. was nice, but I got tired of the startup times... took it a bit once the system was cold. nice to have a 300G HD full of music, videos, gps Nav and such. system wasn't much fancy, Cant really remember the specs... good luck.

yea i dont need but so much in a car, i just think it would be a cool mod to do and it would def. be a custom job which makes it x2 cool but yea i have a laptop laying around that i would like to rip apart and use but not sure what i'd need to do... this is me looking at a motherboard>>

Ya, I am sure that it can be done with a laptop. More custom work though.

I was reading a lot on this guy and probably he is the best route to do.
