anyone heard the stealthbox?

I am looking to save as much room as possible, and the JL audio stealthbox seems like a fit for my needs. It is pretty pricey, but I was wondering if anyone has heard it, and what do you think of the sound? I plan on hooking it up to a JL 500 RMS Mono amp.

Good item but remember the jl 500 mono amp is rated at 500 wats RMS and peak should be well over 650,while the box is rated at 300 watts of continuous power and the peak is 500 .

your better off with a JL 300/2v2 thats rated @ 300 W RMS x 1 @ 3 ohm-8 ohm (11V-14.5V)
I have this amp running 2 10" alumpro subs in my other car and it sounds and pounds great .

Hey Ranger, what do you think of the alumapro subs? I have a local dealer that sells them, but I only know one person who has had them. He says it hits hard, and he has the bp10 alumapro. any opinion on the longevity of the sub? I don't play my bass to 85 decibels, but I like having the option.

Most of JL stuff is very good...The stealth box would be nice if you're just looking to keep your trunk open and the sub consealed. I would assume it would sound pretty good considering what I said that JL is very good. If you would like to build a box and put subs in then you can definatley get a lot of kick and drop out of a higher end JL or even Infinity.

yeah, I'm getting to the point where I think I may prefer greater sound quality over space. probably going to go with the w-7. do you guys think I would need a farad capacitor for any reason?

If space is your concern, the Stealthbox is great. The problem with the 10w7 is it's mounting depth. I plan on a steathbox for the B, and sound quality is of upmost importance to me, a 21 year veteran installer, if that says anything to you.

And stick with the 500/1. with the gains adjusted properly, you will have plenty of headroom for a great sound. I have installed many of the 10w3's on that amp and it work out for the better. And no cap EVER on a JL Slash amp. (That comes from the engeneers at JL who built the amp)
