if you do it as part of a rear seat delete, you may be able to squeeze a 10 or two but it wouldn't get the ideal cubic inches in the box.

Not going to happen. The area under the seat cusion is made up of foam and rods (for the rear seat) and the floor pan. Under that is the driveshaft and the exhast. I know the Mustang is famous for having no trunk to speak of, but why not in there? It will fit, sound a WHOLE lot better, and it will fit. Did I say it would fit? Hope this answers your question.

If he rear seat deleted and used a shallow box its doable but not gonna be correct cubic inches inside

Not gonna be done with sub posted however

ok yup...this did answer my questions alot...i have no problem with using the trunk for the sub...i use my trunk alot for my surfboards and chairs and luggage and what not...but the demensions of the sub posted are that big and shouldnt take up that much room. I was thinking of mounting it againts the back seat (one of them) and then i just wouldnt be able to open the seat..

I assume you fold down the seats for the surfboards, why not mount in the right or left corner of the opening, you know how its wider in the corners then goes to the smaller rest of the trunk.

Have you thought about the MTX thunderform for the Mustangs? It mounts in the space you wouldn/'t use on the pass side trunk and come with the amp (I believe) so it would be like the Infinity piece, but built for thecar and easy to install.

I was going to suggest the steathbox from JL, but it needs an amp separate from the box and it sounded like he needs all the room he can get for surfing stuff.

Someone told me in my previous thread that the stealthbox is max 300 RMS, is there any truth to this?

That's what it is RATED for, but I recomend the JL 500/1 amp for it (and the raw woofer in it) all the time. When properly set up, I have NEVER had a problem with a blown woofer.

Besides, in a really well ballanced system, 300 watts on a 10" woofer is plenty.

Bullitt, how much weight do you think the stealthbox will add to my car? as opposed to something like a 10" W7 with MDF sealed Box

Steathbox will be lighter by alot. If I remember, the steathbox weighs 32 pounds, and a 10w7 is 30, MDF will be another 20 or so. 10w7 will have about 2.5 times the output (SPL) and have a slight edge in sound quality. Stealthbox will give the most trunk space. I am putting a steathbox in the B in a few months, but I use the B as a daily driver, and I still have a 12 and 3 year old to worry about. I need my trunk.
