which radios are good now days?im looking for a radio thats going to accent my car. the gauges light up white and the car is torch red. this might seem stupid but im going to be really particular about the radio matching stuff im kind of against the gay green the current mach radio provides i absolutley hate it. so one big starter question would be which brands are really good.. i havent been into audio equipment since i was 15-16 yr old.. back then i had pioneer head units. im assuming aiwa is still good and alipine? any chance anyone has a radio in mind that might be similar to what im thinking of? links are a plus!

wow i really like that first one!
is that wireing harness that comes with it for the mach system since i did enter my car in to see if the item fits or do i still need the metra harness JVC KD-PDR80 CD receiver with USB input and built-in iPod® control at Crutchfield.com looks like it also comes with the dash kit . thats cool! not a bad price. and that is enough watts to push the mach system decently isnt it. should it be close to how it sounds right now since it will have the mach amps working with it

I'm not sure if you've already gotten a new deck yet...but I've got a sony xplod. The really cool thing about it is that there is a button that allows you to change the color of the display. I think there are like 7 colors to choose from. other than that it looks alot like the JVC. In terms of sound it rocks. It was a big improvement over my stock deck and works just fine with my mach system.

The new pioneer decks out there this year arent the best looking. There bright blue display will really light the car up at night. Pro to a pioneer deck is that the sound quailty for the money a pioneer deck will get you the must EQ features. Con is that on the pioneer decks, is if you use the metra harness with the RCAs (low level)for the mach system you may get some alternator whine throught your mid ranges. I always have had a pioneer deck never had any problems. Currently I have a Pionner Avic-D3. You will be able to change the button colors to make it match the ford green light on the dash and you can add some custom backgrounds to it. Also you get gps if you care for that.
Sorry didnt want to forget alpine they have a great ipod control. thats just my 2 cents on the subject hope this helps. |

I bought a sony deck that has a port for a headphone jack (line in) for any mp3 player. as well as a USB port on the front to play music from that too. My gf can play her mp3 with the $1 cord I bought from a dollar store and I rock the USB. for the 150 I spent on it I got no complaints.
