mach 460 upgrades


has any one done aftermarket upgrades to their 460 stereo. new speakers , amps or sub. i really want to keep stock head unit(for stock appearence).if you have done any of these upgrades shout them out w/ brands and sizes.I have done most upgrades on all my other vehicles my self, not skeered.

You can get any after market speaker and it will be alright. personally I would do components up front then 2 ways in the rear to give you your low range.

With components up front, having 2 ways in the rear are dumb and ruin the sound stage. Having the highs come from 4 different places makes the overall sound terrible. Components up front and 6"x8" in the back w/out any tweeters.

I would actually leave the two stock in the amp rack/rear. They are a mono signal and you won't benefit from two way. In fact, the only ones that get "Stereo" signals are the front high range tweeters. Def components up front would help. It will still be the same concept as the stock ones, you'll just have better speakers.

If you're going to go with after market speakers then you'll need to get rid of the Mach crap. NO one makes speaker in that ohm resistance.

I thought they were 4 ohm impedance? What are they if they aren't normal?

8ohm. trust me, rip out the Mach 4shitty and put in somethng decent.
