powering up mach 460 amps


well i put a kenwood 6019 screen in my friends 03 gt and i wired straight to the speakers around the mach amp... i've seen several thread about using the right harness... the one i used came from scoche and i'll have to get the part number but it was the harness withOUT the rca outputs.... it may be the wrong one i'm thinking?

any help is appreciated! thanks!

You're going to fry your head unit. The Mach speakers are 6 and 3ohm speakers. Eitehr go through the stock amps or buy new speakers and take out all the 460 crap.

how would i fry the head unit? its no way hooked up to anything right now??? i'm running straight from the headunit to each individual speakers

If you hook the headunit up to a 3 ohm speaker, you stand a chance of blowing the amp in the headunit. This is because the amps in headunits are only stable down to 4 ohms.

+1, all right stuff. Either get the right harness (cheapest), get a premium amp interface (costliest), or get rid of all the mach stuff like SXYNERD said (time consuming). But if you keep going at what you are doing your friend is gonna be pissed cause you burnt out his H/U
