Does anyone know anything about these Zeus antennas?[ Zeus Antenna ]
I emailed them about their strength due to it being a hollow tube, but have not heard back from them.

just cut your stock antenna and paint the tip black again and voila. you have a shorty antenna and it was free. make it any height that you want without the stupid little ball on top.

The only problem with this is that if you cut your antenna, you risk reception problems. the antenna mast is the length it is for a reason. My radio skills are sooo rusty, but I do know that the antenna mast length coincides with a wavelength and that you have to cut it in intervals to still coincide with that wavelength. I'll look it up and give you more details. As an aside. I have an 8' shortie antenna I bought from AM, but I didn't like it because it's mad short. If you want it, you can have it. Still in the packkage and everything.

i bought one from AM also and the first time i bumped into it it broke. i couldn't believe how fragile they were. i cut mine to about the same height as the roof line and have had no issues. drove from tulsa to fort hood, tx and noticed no difference in signal between the stock antenna height and after i cut it. i've driven that stretch of rode so many times it's not funny.

i never actually realized how long our antennas our until my sister said something, and i turn and see all 6 feet of it protruding from my fender. I bought one from Advance auto for 4 dollars, its about 12 inches long thick black rubber (calm down HMUSN), and the only bad part is when im going down the road, it bends like crazy. I need a new one.
