amp goes off


so i finally get evrything working good and i start driving home from my friends house and the amp went off so i restarted my car and it went back on. so every 5 min the amp goes off.

Is it going into protect mode? feel really hot too the touch? could be overheating. make sure its not losing power or remote feed for some reason and shutting off.

i agree with tuned.....apperently the subs r wired wrong and the amp is going into "protect" mode check the inpedance of the load of the subs and refer to the amps specs.Maybe u r overloading the amp
