Possible 4.2 swap?

I was considering swapping out my 3.8 in my 99 mustang for a 4.2 short block that im going to build up from SSMS. Money isnt really a problem but it'll take a while to get most of it. How hard would this swap be if I built the engine up right? Is it even worth it or should i just build up my 3.8?
