Upgrading to v8

i have a V6 stang and recently blew the head gasket. rather than spending money on the repair i was thinking of upgrading to a v8. I was wondering if it is worth it. I have asked this before and some people suggested just buying a GT or something, but i'm definitely on a budget. Idk a great place to look for engines but this is just something i stumbled upon and i'm just using it as an examlpe. http://www.fordcobraengines.com/302_350_hpLB.htm . And does anyone have any idea how much it would cost for other parts necassary for installing the engine and labor and everything? I'm probably forgetting somethign so i'll be checking back a lot. Any input is appreciated.
Thanx in advance,
Nick

it is going to cost you an assload to install the v8 you linked to in your v6.
that's only the long block... you still need intake and exhaust, a new rear end, a computer, more than likely motor mounts, maby a new tranny as well (i dunno if 5.0 trannys match with a v6 tranny)
it's going to be worth your while if you either part out the mustang or sell it like it is and put that money on a GT.

it's a lot cheaper to get the GT than to try and stuff a 5.0 in you car.

Sick, thanx for the advice, i'm new to this so there's a lot of stuff i'm overlooking. The only thing is, i only have about $2000 and if i decide to do this i'd sell my 1992 BMW 535i for like 5 grand, which is what i'm driving now. So i'd have like $6,000-$7,000 total to work with, i'm not sure how much i can do with that.

you could turn around and sell the v6 for another 4-5k
and have about 10k

2001 GT's and 97-98 Cobra's run right around there.

it'll cost you an arm and a leg unless you do it yourself.

it's mostly as easy job to do though.

just have a friend help you.
