carburator question about secondaries


i have a holley 650 with vacuum secondaries and i heard if you put a bolt in the little linkage to sort of make it mechanical would make it faster, has anyone heard or know about this ?

No, don't do it. Doing that can bind up the linkage. Besides that there is only one accelerator pump so by making a mechanical linkage out of it you will develop a major bog any time you step on the throttle hard. If you feel you need mechanical secondaries then go buy a double pumper.
