1980 mercury capri very loud banging from rocker arms

welp i own a 1980 mercury capri and the other day i did a oil change on it and it started making loud banging noises from the front three rocker arms??? also i just rebuilt the engine and i am tired and pissed off at this car!

you sure its the rocker arms?

Did you check to ensure they were properly torqued? You sure it is not a rod slapping? I hope not for your sake.

welp i tore it apart for the good news the oil pump is shot to hell and back now the bad news the #5 piston has a pin sized hole the rods (all) are done the lifters (all) are toast and the crankshaft is bent.....time to put that new 300 inline 6 i have in....woot
