Crazy swap coming up
Alright...I know Im about to piss some people off here. I have the money and time...so Im doing it. Im rippin out the old sixer and gutting it. The car means alot so Im going to keep its body. Im putting a LS1 and a T56 six speed tranny in. Im going to use the UPR K Member. Anyone have any ideas about wich spring rate I should get? This probably doesnt belong in the sixer section but its one right now. ha. Any help would be great. Thanks.

I've seen it done before there is a thread about swapping them into mustangs on LS1 Tech. Don't tell anybody this but I have researched doing this for my self at one time.

My buddy is getting out of the Marines so I got it cheap. It would be a shame to be rollin around in a six while I have something like that sitting around collecting dust. I want that K member to free up a little room and weight but I dont have a clue about the spring rate.

Its yet again not a hard swap..... Use the 4.6 kmember with 4.6 mounts.
Here is a pick of how you need to modify the mounts. The drivers side collector needs to be ground on a little bit. other than that its mostly electrical.

that engine looks a lot smaller in the stang lol.
not sure on spring rate though sounds like a fun project though.

That's gunna be a sick car when u do it, and spring rate shouldn't be that different, if anything get the spring rate off of a stock LS1 car and use that for a guide

Why would you want to do that. Those motors are dogs.. and weigh a ton..
