Oil Change

Hi, I was just going to be changing my oil and from what I read royal purple and fram are the way to go. How do I know there is synt. oil in there right now, its pretty dark right now. Or can I just switch to synt. and not worry about anything. Its been sitting in my garage for 5months now and Im ready to bring her back out.

Its been proven that you could switch the types of oil whenever you want
Fram sucks either a motorcraft or Pure1 is better cuz the fram filter doesnt have as much surface area to filter the oil like the ones i mentioned.Royal Purple is good oil though

I use the Fram HP1 high performance filter and it does not suck.. You must be talkin about a regular replacement filter not the HP series..

I use Royal Purp in my truck, and it gave more power and better gas mileage. I have a parts guy that ran it in his motor tranny and rearend and got 15 hp on the dyno with a 03 GT. I like the stuff when my pony's new motor is broken in it too will get the R.P. treatment. Just my 2cents worth W.P>

i use only royal purple & K&N oil filters... i will never use any filter other than a K&N..
