What does an oil change have to do with the car losing power?. Maybe your cats are clogged or something...

I did get rear ended a month ago and i bent one tailpipe up and in and crack the tip frome the muffler, it seams like its never been the same since. I dont know what that would do t make my engine run rough.

pull off your exhaust and run it with just the header it sounds like clogged cats. if it runs good with no exhaust get new cats and figure out what clogged them. you might be running rich which would over heat and melt the catalyst causing a clog. i used to work for ford and i saw that exact prob on a lot of the 4.0 explorers.

That happened to my 99. Got rear ended but the shop didnt really check it out. After about a day when I got it back it started sounding throaty and loosing power I didnt think anything about it cause I was pulling out to sea and then a week later when I got back I was driving it, sounded a little more throatier, then I hit a bump and heard a bang and the exhaust note got really loud. Turned out that when I was rear ended the exhaust pipe cracked around the collecter and then eventually just gave up. It could be this but wouldnt hurt to check it out.

Hummm winter, make sure that the injector cleaner also will remove h2o from your gas and change your fuel filter. Start out slow and than ease on back. it is uasually smoething simple.
