using synthetic in a high mile motor will cause it to start having leaks.

Sorry bro that is a MYTH!

i have 206,000 on my 97 explorer been using synthetic for the last year, sorry man but NO leaks here whatsoever! BTW those are original miles on the stock motor and gaskets.[/quote]

I personally wouldn't run Castrol in my lawnmower. Mobil 1 full syn all the way, viscosity depends on where you live. I prefer a heavier oil. It is possible to gain hp with a different oils (less Friction= more hp & less wear). Sorry but you were probably the one getting laughed at. It's also possible to get hp by experimenting with a lower oil level but i wouldn't reccommend this

Oil that was produced in the 70's & 80's did not have the detergents and additives that oils have today preventing sludge build-up. Even with todays oils if you dont change regularly you will still get sludge..

Trust me I know the rules, since I am black and all. I also know where the term came from. I also know I don't know too many black people that use that term in that way any more. If I took it the wrong way I apologize, but I hear more teenage white kids say that now than anyone else.

PS - Please don't use the, "I have a black relative/friend/neighbor," card again. You didn't choose that person. That proves nothing.

Not trying to prove anything by pullin the as you put it "I have a black relative/friend/neighbor card" I just want to let you know all people are equal to me and thats it. Sorry it was not in a way that was acceptable to you...

Point taken on both sides lets move on... Agreed?
