i have a 2000 V6 mustang, a while back i canged the tranny from atuo to manual. im seriously considering swaping the enigne next? i already know a good extend of the work (the trans was hell thanks to the dealer but in the end worth it) i want to get an old 5.0 and get new cams and all tht jazz. i imagine the frame might need some working seeing as the new 8s are 4.6. is there and hardcore reason not to do this. i love working on my car and think this is the only other step worth. i would obviously have the engine in my garage a while to mod it and then get an exaust and intake. i imagine the fuel lines and injectors would need work and also new ECU unit (probably get a stand alone for the moneys worth). i jsut wanna know anything i can find out about this job before i think about starting. i know most ppl think getting a new car is better but im not a pussy and enjoy all the work.

I don't know much about this kind of stuff...
but why wouldn't you just get a newer 4.6. yeah it's a little smaller but they're more efficient than the older ones and still produce just as much or more power.
