p1443 where is the evap emissions valve?

I got a p1443 code from autozone and want to fix the problem myself. (p1443 is evaporative emissions valve) I have done a LOT of research on the internet but can't get to the charcoal canister/emissions valve itself. Any tips would be great - a walkthrough even better! Thanks!

Thanks for the welcoming! Sorry, let me be more specific - I have a 1996 3.8 (v6) automatic trans. Ever since I bought the car (about 6 months ago) the c.e.l. has been on. Never gave a crap about cars till I FINALLY got my mustang! College student so I can't afford anything but a self fix. I have printed off enought info to fix it myself (packets of walkthroughs/ descriptions)
The Problem: From what I know - and you guys confirmed this - the valve I need to replace is in the passanger side fender wall. I just don't know how to get to it. Should I take off the fender and look? Or jack the car up and get under? What needs to be moved to access this valve?
Pics would be great if anyone is willing point at the valve in a picture or something. . . sorry about the length - Thanks!

no no no...just open the hood...both purge and flow sensor are easy to reach from the hood. took me about 5min to change both.

OH! Thanks 97 - That was driving me crazy, I had printed off a diagram that was kinda misleading... I'll post back once I try to clear the code. And I looked at your old posts, apparently on the SN95 the p1443 pops up quite a bit. Has anything else gone wrong with your 97 - cause I just had a headgasket goes about six months ago and the more I read that seems pretty common too.

Yeah dude pics would be great! I'd really appreciate that - I took another look and still, I just don't know enough about cars to loacate the damn thing. But I think if I could just FIND it, I could fix it. Thanks again 97! I'll wait for your pics before touching my baby!

ok heres the pics... the purge valve assembly is the one im pointing at. the purge valve connects to the valve assembly by a vac line. you will see it right behind the passenger side strut about 8in away from the assembly. as shown up close in the pic. i recomened replacing both. the assembly cost around 35 and the valve cost around 20 or so. i think i payed 56 for both. it might of changed. but it is verry simple.

Wow dude! Thank you sooooo much! I had located those very same valves reading forum after forum yesterday - but this confirms my findings. I REALLY appreciate you taking those pics. Me and my bro are replacing them within the week and hopefully I'll finally have a stang without that stupid cei! Thanks again - really appreciate that.

P.S. Never seen a cobra under the hood - that looks B.A.
