blackdragon Regular 1979 ford mustang Join Date: Nov 2006 Location: shelton Posts: 83	1979 mercury capri ok i have a 1979 mercury capri with a stock 200 i-6 (soon to change) with a 300 i-6 carberator and i cant get it adjusted right. its like its stuck and my tranny wont go into first or reverse with the engine running or the car running. also i dont now what shape the clutch is in it might be worn im gonna check that and might have the tranny rebuild while it out? and do the 4 speed trannys have a lot of 1st reverse problems? __________________ my 1979 october 9th fox body mercury capri.i've gone through 4 engines now. but im getting a 1993 ford thunderbird with the 302. problem is a tree fell on it. this was only half on the throttle
