351c vs 351m

dose a 351m have the same bell housing bolt patern as a 351c. my 351c is building up alot of pressure in the bottom end. it is starting to blow oil up the dipstick tube. out most of the seels. time for a rebuild i guess. is the 351m better on bottom end torqe. i am puting it in a 79 4x4 f150.

I think the 351Modified was notorious for being bad overall. The Windsor is the most reliable, IMO

The 351M & 400 both have the "big block" bell housing bolt pattern.
The 351W is the same as the 351C & 302 "small block" bolt pattern.
I vote to rebuild the 351C.

Dude, Clevelands are classic AND priceless. The Modified was a big piece of metal that made noise and a small amount of useless power.
