missfire

i have a 2000 gt, which was running fine until i took on a 600 mile trip. i noticed that when i gave it any decent amount of throttle, the engine would start bogging out. i replaced some dryrotted vacum lines but that didnt fix the problem. i eventually got an engine light and when i plugged it in i got a cyliner 8 missfire, which was what i had considered in the first place. today i pulled the cylinder 8 cop out and was splashed with a bunch of liquid. when i looked down in the port was filled with a few inches of coolant. this pretty much explains the missfire, im guessing the cop is fouled out now, but now i need to figure out why there is coolant there. are there any waterjackets running next to that port through the head? im wandering if i have a crack in the head or not? theres no evidence of anything leaking above the cop, so i guess im trying to figure out if im going to be screwed into changing the head or not. any help would be awesome.

theres no coolant in the combustion chamber so im pretty sure its not a headgasket. im thinking that theres a bad o-ring in the intake manifold, so im going to tear that off this weekend and replace all the gaskets and o-rings. hopefully this works, thanks for the advice
