pedistal mount rockersI get no lifter rattle on cold startups but get some valve train noise after warm up. Engine runs great, but noise bothers the hell out of me. 351W, Flat tappet cam, GT 40 iron heads, .490 lift cam. Ford Racing GT40 Valve springs good for .550" inch lift. |

I think even when properly adjusted flat tappet cam valve-trains tend to make noise anyway. A properly adjusted hyd roller motor with aftermarket roller rockers make a little noise also, nothing crazy but you for sure can hear the valve-train working..
