not to go off topic but a big as trans cooler needs to be first....with a larger exhaust will bring a lil more heat to the trans case. as it's closer

They can be a little high pitched for a v8. I wouldn't really reccomend them unless you have an O/R H midpipe.

I like Bassani, and Borla. About as good deep sound with stock midpipe.

I would have to disagree w/ you. W/ an O/R pipe Loudmouth sounds like garbage, high pitched and a lot of garbage noise that's not needed. W/ a catted pipe you keep that deep sound as well as your sound quality. Only get Loudmouth if you plan on keeping the stock pipe or plan on getting a catted pipe. If you want an O/R pipe, I recommend a muffler-based cat-back. The Prochamber/MAC Muffler combo sounds great!

yeah SLP LM1's and an offroad pipe will rattle the fillings right out your mouth its so loud. def. go with an catted pipe for that. i love the sound of Bassani but there really expensive.

check out www.mustangexhaust.com for some various soundclips. or check out other muffler brands web sites like

www.magnaflow.com
www.flowmastermufflers.com
www.pypesexhaust.com
www.slponline.com
www.bassani.com
www.borla.com
www.dynomax.com

just to name a few.

you looking to get a headers and mid pipe as well or just a cat back right now.

I guess I should have been a little more specific. I do agree with what you said, the only reason I would get the O/R H and SLP combo is to shake everyones ass thats drivin down the street.

OH and prodigy, he knows what he's sayin Prochamber midpipes are AWESOME!

But I still stand beside Bassani catbacks. It's all about preferance though.

magnaflow and borla are deeper and more subtle mufflers. they are very nice stainless kits, but they are a little more quiet. they sound good on the 4.6L though.

just a get a mac cat-back, cheaper than all the others and the sound and quality you can't beat. I have had them on my car for over 4 years with no problems.

I just put on a upr off road x-pipe on my 96gt yesterday....ran it with no catback connected at all for a little bit....it was insane...I wish I could keep it like that all the time, but for right now I am running the stock mufflers and tails and it still sounds really good. Still not sure if I should go flowmater 40's or risk it being too loud and going magnapacks. Suggestions.....?
