Doesn't sound as bad as you think, but it is just annoyingly loud.

it crackles and pops when you let off of the gas, but no more than a gt would with a nice exhaust on it. Doesn't do it as much as I thought it would.

any catless v6 sounds like crap because the cats are what takes out alot of the evenfire buzz smooths it out and makes it deeper.. just alot quieter

Yeah I would rather have a quieter good sounding exhaust over a super loud annoying sounding exhaust.

Ever heard a non catted 6 with Long Tubes @ flow 40s? - yum

Open headers don't sound as bad as you think (I ran them for about 5 hours before I got my exhaust welded back.)

Also sounds like sh*t, especially on a V6.

IMO bullets don't even sound good on a GT, why would they sound better on a V6? Seems like that would be a loud mess to me.

Flows are so played out to me. People that know nothing about Mustangs still know the name flowmaster. Funny thing is that they aren't that great. They don't sound bad at all, but now they are almost more common to hear than stock exhaust. There is a kid that visits the ricer down the street from me that has them and thought they were so loud until one day my boy pulled up with his Magnapacks. He's half a block away and walked all the way up to my house to ask what kind of exhaust they were.

Well flows are over played for the fact that they are a great muffler. They are a quality material and the company is highly trusted in the car world. They also have a great range of mufflers for every application.

And exhausts being talked about lately only wanna be loud? Well why be loud if you sound like shit. I would much rather have an exhaust that my neighbor says "Hey that sounds good" rather than the guy 10 houses down tell me to shut the hell up.

True enough, but I think it has more to do with Flowmaster was one of the first aftermarket exhaust makers for the Mustang to get it right so people still assume they are the best. IMO that is no longer the case.
