are you asking if they would sound good? if they would perform good? if anyone makes them?

1) mufflers and catalytic converters make sound
2) some side exit muffled kits look really cool (i.e. roush) but performance is hindered by the routing and restriction to make the pipes come out the sides.
3) roush, cdc

also, a headers to collector pipe to pipes running along the side skirt like the old vettes and shelby cobras is badass, but loud to the driver/passenger's ears because they exit right at the door...

cool thing about side pipse is when you do a huge smokey burnout, it shoots all of the smoke out of the side like this! http://videos.streetfire.net/video/7...CD6BD9B469.htm this is one of the best burnouts ive ever seen in my life!

i never saw side pipes on a SN95 but i did see a SN95 cobra with SVO side exhaust with the side skirts. but pipes going down the car on the side i never saw on that model or any other mustang except the classics and the mustang II

I always wondered why the smoke poured out to the sides like that... Doesn't that car belong to one of the members on this forum?

Yeah... very impressive.

Dumb question... how does the car stay still? Is there a brake on the front wheels?

yes you keeo the front brake pinned to the florr and just mash the gas. if you do realyl long burnouts you can fuck up your brakes from them clamping and not stopping they can get way to hot. but unless your sitting there for 5 minutes dont worry about it

Sidepipes are cool because no one has them, and if you want to be different then those are good to get. But I'm a huge fan of true dual right out the back

That's what I thought... but I dismissed the idea because I thought of the brakes overheating.

Sorry Haus, I don't quite know what you're saying.

i thought you were asking how to do a burnout in a manual(5 spd/6 spd) mustang. i dint know you were asking about a auto. well yeah in a auto just push and hold on the brake and step on the gas.

I was asking about manual. I don't see how the car can stay still and spin the wheels for that long.

Sorry for the confusion.

a burn out ina manual is easy, hold the brake with the same foot hit the gas and dump your clutch. now just hold the brake down and have a hell of a time with you're gas pedal.

I'd imagine that's bad for the brakes though...
I'll have some fun when it's time to replace my tires.

Thanks for the reply.

Burn outs are bad for rear brakes. 8 track visits have worn down my rear brakes alone.

Put a line lock on it and be done with it. SLP makes one that is around $129. It is a solenoid that allows the front brakes to work independently from the rears when you hit the switch.

I have it and they work great and are useful as a roll control
