Catted-X Pipe - Magnaflow vs. SLP vs. UPR

Well... it's pretty much what the subject says. I currently have a Magnaflow Cat-Back (w/MagnaPack mufflers), and I'm looking at getting a new catted-X setup.

I'm looking at the following three systems: Magnaflow, SLP, and UPR. I would assume that the Magnaflows are the best, since they are by far the most expensive. But does anyone have any advice about the other 2 systems? Are they about the same quality? Anyone have sound clips of either with a Magnaflow Cat-Back?

Thanks!

I would go with the Maggie or SLP catted x. Both are of good quality and fit. I would stay away from the other one.

Thanks for the reply. Do you think that the Magnaflow is worth the price, or would the SLP do the job just as well?

I can't speak as to the quality of the SLP X pipe. The only thing I really like about thiers is that the cats can be removed and replaced with O/R extentions and the cats can be put back on for inspection. I have magnapacks and so does my friend. He has the magnaflow tru-X and I bought the Bassani X. His car is a good amount deeper than mine in tone, but mine is louder. His car seems to have more of a growl to it. If you really want a good sound with your packs look into a prochamber. If you plan on getting LT headers in the future definitly get the SLP so you won't have to buy a new mid pipe.

Will adding either of these H-Pipes to my existing Magnaflow catback make my car louder? Or does it just depend on which one I get?

Louder, no.
Deeper, yes.

What is the difference going to be with a prochamber? Is it going to be even deeper or just different?

A prochamber is deeper than a X pipe, but not as deep as a H pipe.

I just bought a Magnaflow tru xpipe. It sounds really good. I have the SLP LM1's to go along with it. It definitely turns heads. Some guys say that xpipes are raspy. Ah, I don't think so. Far from it. I think you would be happy with the Magnaflows. It will hit you in the wallet, but it's worth it.

If you don't care about emissions testing than go with the O/R X pipe. It sounds much better to me. As soon as you get done reading this go find whoever told you that you lose power with a O/R pipe and punch them in the mouth! You actually gain power, but not much. Just a few ponies. The biggest difference between the two is the sound.

my vote is for the magnaflow tru-x x-pipe! i run that for my mid-pipe with bbk shorties and magnapacks for the cat-back and it sounds awesome! IMO it is worth the money.
