make mufflers louder?

I have the cheap $20 turbo II mufflers and I want to make them louder since buying new mufflers isn't in the budget, does any one have any info on modifing mufflers?

remove them from the car and take a long drill bit and drill into the baffles all you can. That will make it louder but depending onthe mufflers could make it sound like crap as well.

do what 99 said. i went to monrow and had some made up for like $30, just two tubes to take the place of the mufflers. i can draw you up the measurements i used.

i dont have catilitac converters so its really loudand i have full length headers so it would be no back presure

Are you wanting to run straight pipes? Becuase it sounds like your car should be loud as it is...

IMHO save up and buy some flowmasters and have them welded in...
