Can a ticking noise be caused from an exhaust leak??


ever since ive had my car theres always been a slight tick 2 day i had dual flowmasters put on and the guy at the exhaust place said that the ticking was caused by water driping from my ac and hitting somthing hot thats y my car ticks and he said he could fix it for $40 and i was like r u sure its not a lifter and he said positive soooo what do u guys think is it possible for a leack to cause ticking?? thanks guys

Yes an exhaust leak can be a ticking noise.

well thats good news cause ive never heard of that so im going 2 morro morning to get it fixed cause its really annoying!

What are you driving? You can tighten them up yourself if you got the tools.

i have the same problem but i was told that it was the soud of the exhaust going through the longtubes through the o/r x?
