exhaust piping

ok so i'm about to order my longtubes here in the next couple of weeks and i'm planning on fabbing up new pipes to go from the end of the lt's to the muflers. so my ? is...wat type of flange would i need? as for the pipe i can just buy 2.25 universal piping right?

aftermarket will be 2.5. the time and money to fab, materials, installation, and etc. you can just spend the money and get the mid pipe that actually goes with it.

ok so let me make sure i understang you...once i buy the lt's for my v6 the flange is gonna be a 2.5 as well as the piping? as far as the time i'm not really concerned bc my friend is gonna weld and prep the pipes for when the lt's get in.

correct. most aftermarket is ball and socket, a couple are slip fit, and a couple are the convetional 3 bolt flange.

the stainless steel will help prevent the rusting/corrosion if you would have lots of rain or snow where you have alot of salt on the road. but you live in texas so i doubt you have snow so i would think just regular aluminized pipe would work fine

for the pipes why dont you save time and just go to your local auto parts store for the piping/flanges you will need for the mid pipe. that way if it doesnt work or its not what you need, you can just take it back to the store instead of shipping it back to Jegs.

lol guess i didn't think of that. thx...saved me time and money. aight well looks like i have a lil project now. i have to get this done soon though bc i have inspection and right now i have a small exhaust leak in my passenger side exhaust manifold.
