Tips to Dumps

Just started wondering. I want a little more out of my exhaust, but I don't want to spend much right now. It's the factory 2.25" piping that the previous owner had some flows (40s i think) welded in place of the factory mufflers. Approximately how much would it cost to have dumps welded in place of the exits and how much would it change the sound..? I'm talking about volume, tone, etc, etc.. thanx.

probably 25 bucks. i had tips for a couple years, then dumped it before the axle and it was just much louder interior wise than before. so after a while i went back to my magnaflow 14" long 2.5" stainless steel tips... but it is easy to just remove the tips and turn down - a little different than dumping right after the muffler and before the axle.
