i'm looking to buy the driver's side quarter window for an 87-93 notchback mustang. the rubber around the window doesn't have to be perfect, but i'd like for it to be in good condition. i can restore the rubber for the most part, but i wont buy it if it has chunks missing from it or anything. PM me or respond to this thread to let me know what you have. thanks..

yes sir, the condition of the rubber is very important. ford was stupid, and thought it would be a good idea to build the rubber onto the glass, meaning you have to replace the whole glass if your rubber goes bad, or buy those ugly plastic covers. the actual glass is good though, right? no scratches or cracks or chips or anything? like i said, i'll probably end up restoring the rubber around the window, but it's gotta be good enough to work with. it can't have any chunks missing or anything.

What is the best way to take it out? If we werent talking about it, in my infinate ignorance I woulda took a razor to it and popped it out.

you're not the only person who has tried it that way lol

take off the plastic around the back of the window from inside the car, then you should be able to get to all the bolts that need to be removed to take the window out

as much as i REALLY hate to do it, would it be ok if i paid the shipping, and you sent it to me to check out? i desperately need a window, and they're hard to find, but i'm not looking to rip you off. the rubber looks restorable from the pictures, but i'd rather see it in person. if you trust me enough to do that, then that would be great, but if you don't, then i understand.
