I have some problems with my -93 Mustang LX convertible that I recently bought. Maybe they are related. Maybe someone here can help me?

- The check engine light is on but goes out after about 30 min. on the freeway.
- The rpm meter somtimes jumps back and forth, eventhough I keep constant speed
- I can smell oil when driving...the car doen't seem to leak oil.
- The car seems to need a lot of gas, about 170 miles on a tank....is that normal?

I just made an oil change + filter but the light is still on.

Thanks for any answers!

99 Lumina - Car Alarm Help

My parents have been having trouble with the car alarm on their 99 Lumina for a few months now. After unlocking the doors the car is ok for roughly 2 minutes before there's a loud beep. Opening the doors after that will trigger the alarm and it won't stop until the remote unlock is pressed. Today a new problem arose, the remote stopped working. I have the key to manually open the door but when I do the alarm will go off and won't stop until the unlock button on the remote is pressed. So..

If I open the door, pop the hood, and disconnect the battery I know it will stop the car alarm but if I leave it disconnected for a while, will it possibly reset the alarm so it won't continue this madness? If not, any ideas?

Also, as far as I know, the alarm system is what originally came in the vehicle.

my buddy at work has a 95 xr7 cougar with the 4.6
and his cel light been coming and going for about 3 weeks now. He took it last week to a shop and had it checked out and the guy told him its running lean so i changed his fuel filter it was plugged and disconnected the battery and its back on again same code. I looked for any noticeable vac lines cracked and didnt see any also cleaned the m.a.f as well disconnected the batter once again but the light is still on. Any other ideas of what to look for? the guy pulled the vac line off the fuel pressure regulator and it didnt get rich so he said its nothing major, but i always thought a lean running motor wasn't good?
thanks guys

tell me about camaros

tell me about camaros. i have read so far that the stock 4th gen camaros are faster than stock new edge mustangs. the 98-02 camaros had the LS1 engine but how much better is it than the LT1 that was in the prior years?

i might end up getting a camaro instead of a mustang, since it would be a better platform to start with, more power and responds better to bolt on mods, and i want a daily driver/street car with only bolt ons.

what experience have you guys had with them?

Jeep Cherokee Brakes HELP

The brakes dont work.. Car will not stop.

New master cylinder from Advance Auto, new rear wheel cylinders also from Advanced Auto.

THe pedal feels hard after bleeding the brakes... I start the engine, and the pedal goes to the floor. Will not stop the jeep.

So I bleed again, and this time disconnected the brake booster vacuum line, and the pedal was much more firm. Still had trouble stopping the jeep, but after pumping a few times before each stop, it would successfully stop the jeep.

Curious as to what the issues could be... I have a vacuum bleeder to bleed the brakes.

Thanks

It was a scary street car! Had a 351 and a C-6 both with an insane amount of mods. Tons and tons of engine work. Car was wicked. Chriped the tires threw every gear and could spin em threw 3rd. I was little when he had it but I can remeber having to crawl over the roll bar and strap myself in then hang on.

As you guys may know, i dont have a Mustang, i guess its a mini Mustang. I bought the car in April and it practically need to be fully gone over. It has a busted drivers side rear spring, worn passengers side tierod end, the trans leaks, engine leaks, the rack leaks, and so on. The seats have a stale feeling to them, the dash is cracked and it smells like a smoker. The exterior is rusted and so are the floor boards. also had a Macco B.S. paint job. What my goal is, is to take a car that is almost never modded and turn it into a tastfully modified street car that can run low 14's on all motor.

So, this is what i'm starting with...
