As far as I know that is the fastest bone stock S197(05-09) pass known.

my other passes were 13.4, 13.4 first pass was horrible a 13.8...then last pass i tried power shifting second but that didnt work out well.

How to Burnout

Ok, so I have street tires so I dont usually do a burnout at the track, but its starting to get cold down here in Florida so I think that roasting the tires just a little might be good to do. And besides, it looks pretty cool too.

Its an auto, so do you just hold the break and floor the gas? I wanna try and do a stand still burnout. I just wanna check on here first before I go to the track and look stupid or do something bad to my car. Any tips on burning out would be great.

Went drag racing for the first time....

I went to Atlanta Dragway today for the first time.

What a blast!

I never figured I would do it (drag the car), but the opportunity came up, and it was a beautiful clear day, so I went for it.

They tell me I did alright on street tires. (Michelin Pilot Sport PS2's). (My poor tires!) :D

Best run was 12.447@116.99

I made five runs total. In order, I did:

13.411 @115 (My first run ever - over did the launch and had major tire spin) :D

then...

12.673@116.92
12.447@116.99
12.710@116.57
12.699@117.33

And I made a video. In the vid, I get whipped in all the runs by 10 second and 9 second Mustangs, respectively...the middle run where my time is not shown was actually my fastest and I got to whip up on a Toyota Supra that ran a 16.005@87.27 MPH.

Ok so I was looking at getting some drag radials for my car. I am just curious, how long will they last at the track. I mean with doing burnouts and stuff? Jc. I go to the track like 2-3 times a summer.

I have an auto 08 v6. The first time i ran it, it only had an exhaust on it and i ran a 15.44 @89.xx. then i went 3 weeks ago after i got my intake and i ran a 15.6 @90.62 (i messed up). I just went yesterday so now my car has intake, exhaust, 93 octane tune, i ran a 14.9223 @ 92.69mph!!! I didn't launch or do anything different. I was extremely happy to hit in the 14's. :D I really didn't think a tune would make that big of a difference.

I think im going to get gears next, i heard 4.10's were better for an auto? what do you guys think i will run with the 4.10's?

Nitrous

Ok so I have been doing a lot of research on nitrous. Ok I found a place to fill my bottles which was my biggest concern. I am planning on building my motor here in a year or two since it will be at almost 90k and I want to stroke it. I just have a question. I have been hearing a lot on tv about stages of nitrous, I guess I have always wondered what that meant. I just never thought about it until now. Is a stage 1 gear of full nitrous? And I have a bolt on mustang with a t lok and 3.73 so I don't want to launch on nitrous, but when should I have it come on in the 1/4 mile? Oh and I have a 5 spd. I plan on going with a 50 shot to start, and then after that a 75 with tune. And when I get my motor done I would like to do a 125 maybe even a 150 if you can with the split ports.

Well this weekend I went to the track this weekend in search of a 12.5x to high 12.4x pass so I could beat a pb of a local ls1 owner. My car has bolt-ons and a 100 shot but I'm still running stock gears and I recently sold the tuner I had. I lined up got and the slicks hot. Launched kinda soft at 3500 flat footing it just before dropping the clutch and the car ripped threw the 60' mark in just 1.68 seconds. As I bang the gears on my way to the end of the track I fly by the 1/8 mile markers in just 7.8118 seconds at 87.95 mph. Shortly after I shifted to forth I pass the 1/4 markers with a time of 12.2818 at 110.16 mph. I'm happy for now but it makes me want to get the headers,a-arms and k-member I have laying around put on.

mach1 vs 04 cobra?

my mods are in sig... will i have a chance against a stock convert cobra? my mach1 beats my roush 427r. i know there is a weight difference .
