So my mustang is coming back from 2 years of storage 1 1/2 years of driving and 2 more years of storage. I'm selling the wifes stratus and putting the money into my stang. I should be able to get about $4K or maybe a little more but I'm looking for advice on upgrades. I have CAI, bassani off-road x, american thunder cat back. I want to stay N/A but get as much bang for my buck as possible with daily driver reliability. I have to put a new fuel guage sending unit in the fuel tank so I am going to upgrade my fuel pump while i'm in there. I was thinking of stroking to 347, getting H/C/I. I have a engine building shop at my disposal and enough fabricators i can get anything custom done that i need... Also is there anything i should just replace because it may have gone bad. Got about 120K miles on it. Any advice, part selection or different directions i should focus on would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Wiring wrong!!!

Hiya,

This is my first time posting about my first ever mustang i bought. I have been looking to buy a mustang and found this very cheap 5.0 so bought it.
for the moment, the problems with it were,

- Steering rack is leaking and steering is running free from right
- A/C compassor bearing and clutch broken
- driver seat motor not working
- Wiring bad
- reverse light not turning on
- check engine sign on with heat sign
- rims slightly hit from curbs it seems

apart from those problems, i dont seem to see any others

first question first, i need to know something about the wirings of this car, some wirings are just hanging out freely, could someone help me trying to find where these wires and hoses go?

Coming from the passenger seat area
Image: http://i134.photobucket.com/albums/q106/sameerb1/Sales/mustang/M1.jpg

its the second wire from alternator, one is connected to semething and second is this hanging free
Image: http://i134.photobucket.com/albums/q106/sameerb1/Sales/mustang/M2.jpg

some port on the left side in the trunk
Image: http://i134.photobucket.com/albums/q106/sameerb1/Sales/mustang/M3.jpg

better view of the port
Image: http://i134.photobucket.com/albums/q106/sameerb1/Sales/mustang/M4.jpg

a whole branch of wiring dunno where it goes, its in the trunk also
Image: http://i134.photobucket.com/albums/q106/sameerb1/Sales/mustang/M5.jpg

two hoses, for what?
Image: http://i134.photobucket.com/albums/q106/sameerb1/Sales/mustang/M6.jpg

better view of the area, so you could know what these could be for?
Image: http://i134.photobucket.com/albums/q106/sameerb1/Sales/mustang/M7.jpg

vaccuum hoses? dont know but they are plugged, should they be or they go somewhere?
Image: http://i134.photobucket.com/albums/q106/sameerb1/Sales/mustang/M8.jpg

an image of the control panel and check engine and all other signs which i see

hey all,
Got in the stang the other day and had an issue with my idle. Upon start up car sounded good, but when I started moving ( car is a manual) it just about stalled out. I continued to drive for a few minutes. At a stop light the idle started dropping down below 500 rpm. Thought it might be a bad o2 sensor, but recently replaced those. Anyone think it could be a bad sparkplug? havent changed them in about a year.

Any ideas on a remedy?
Thanks guys

So, I'm in the midst of rebuilding my motor and got a couple of questions. Was thinking about a stroker, but decided against it because, hell I just can't afford it right now. But I do have a vortech charger making ~8lbs so I wanna go forged bottom. I understand the 87-93's had forged pistons, I'm wondering will all my 94 brackets bolt up to the older blocks?

Hi Everyone!

I need help! I just installed the MAC Underdrive Pullies on my 94 mustang cobra. The belt on the water pump pulley is slipping off the back of the pulley. The MAC pulley didnt come with a lip to hold the belt on. Any ideas on how to fix this? Could I put the stock water pump pulley back on and leave the crank pulley only? Will it run fine that way? Thanks for your help!
