it just seems like they blocked all our pm's and "lost" the thread, and I dont care how shady he seemed.....but I am sure this has happened before, and I would like to determine things myself instead of having it done for me.

This is why. Because this forum costs money to run. Because people here give their time to run it. And because to help pay for this forum, we have authorized vendors that PAY money to be able to sell their product here. It would be insulting to them to just allow anyone to pop on here and start hawking there product.

As for your freedom of speech ideal regarding this forum. There are rules to this forum. Just as there are rules anywhere.

If you were paying to run something, and were doing business with vendors that helped support your endeavor, would you just allow someone else to come in and start selling without following protocol? Without paying you for using the very thing you pay to operate?

This forum is huge. It has almost 25 thousand members now. It cannot just run on your home computer.

jtubbs wasn't even selling HIS product. He was wanting to advertise someone else's product.

I promise you, we don't just make decisions out of malice and without forethought.

If he wanted to have that product sold here, he should have the person in question contact us, as he was instructed, and inquire as to how to become an authorized vendor here.

I'm not shitting on our vendors, I like and have bought from at least 2 of them. I was just curious as to what happened and what the reason was. Also keeping us from info is kinda shady. I understand, and the only parts I was interested in buying from a non site vendor are suspension and drive train. I am going to buy the rest of my parts from vendors and places I have made nice with. I hold frendship and professional relationships in high regard. That being said, can he pm the information or what? because there have been a bunch of posts listing the best price for a part and nothing has happened, Nor has it been spit at.

nothing "shady" about a site protecting it's vendors. without vendor support there would be no site. if you want the lowest price do some research as the info is out there (e-bay, craigslist, etc) but buying on price alone is usually a mistake anyway.

We have so far a list of 29 vendors here. We have a list a mile long here in the sticky thread of places to buy stuff from. This forum has more information on it than you can wrap your head around.

When you asked the question as to why it didn't fly, I answered you in full detail, giving you all the information I know.

People are allowed to post up links to places where they bought there stuff. As I stated, look in the stickies here. There are dozens and dozens of links to different places.

A person who runs that business is not allowed to come in here and start selling his product without becoming an authorized vendor, because we have businesses that pay for that privilege, much less a person trying to advertise a business that is not even his own.

Again I was not saying anything against the vendors on the site and i fully understand and support their contributions to this site. And I plug them more often then not. I am by no means suggesting that any of the things you outlined zip are unfair. Nor is it ok to just show up and start posting away my site is the best anywhere. All I am asking is can we get PM'd? And I also respect most all of the people on this forum, more than the others. Including you zip. There are infact 5 people I usually look for in responses. So again I mean no disrespect or ill content. It was meant as a question with no negative tone, and I apologize if there was any confusion on our part(yours and mine)

Casper I am not a newbie, I do more research on parts than the average joe(not to mention that I get my facts straight, or ask if they are so I can make the most accurate posts), I know before buying anything. If you are implying that I should search the internet and check every site and every listing then you have more time then I do. I can say with confidence that I have been to every website in the 3 mustang mags that I buy every month, at least twice or three times. Including the ones in the back, in the black and white small boxes. And I protect our vendors just fine and if you search my posts, look how many times I put rich, or dyno joe, or others like emay, zip, mickey(to name a very few) and everyone who has the smarts and ability to contribute or help effictively( I also rep as much as possible when someone posts something good, so they can have a good reputation). So pardon me.
