rep is the little balance/weight thing at the bottom of everyones name box. it lets other people know what kind of person you are on the internet...and i dont want other people to think im a douche because someone else had to be one.

you just click that little weight/balance thing i was telling you about, then check either approve or disapprove, and post a (short) comment explaining why. and people really appreciate it when you leave your username.

ya, it sucks lol. and i repped you to show you how it works...but my computer froze up and so i hit refresh 2 times, and it resent the repping 2 more times, so you got 3 reps from me in the like a minute

(i thought you had to rep a couple other people before repping the same person again though?)

i think you get a green square for every 100 rep points you receive. you leave rep by clicking the little scale underneath a person's username and it will give you the option to make it positive or negative. be sure to always sign your name after leaving rep. go ahead and try it out on me

and negative rep is nothing to be scared of. it doesn't hurt you in any way shape or form. i have received negative rep before and even the members of this site with the most rep points have received negative rep

people usually wont negative rep you unless you deserve it, so as long as you don't do anything to piss anybody off then you'll be good. if you do get negative rep, so what? it's not the end of the world. on this site, reputation doesn't mean JACK. what is more important is the attitude of members and how helpful they are. judge people based on knowledge and attitude and personality, not how many green boxes they have.
