just an idea for mods/admins to throw around

i could care less about it, but i'm tired of seeing people complain about the rules for posting for sale threads in the classifieds section, so here's an idea that the staff members can talk about. how about instead of posting all their information for everybody to see, the seller just PM's a mod or admin all of their info so that they can hold onto it incase there is a problem, and maybe give it to any potential buyer who asks?

in theory that would be good, but in reality it wouldnt be a good way to do it because then that requires us to hand on to all this information for the 50 million different for sale threads that get made everyday. also we do not want to be involved in the transactions as much as possible, so by us making rules to be followed it sets the rules without us having to intervene in the direct transaction between seller and buyer.

the info doesnt have to be indepth and give away all information. just basic info will do and get the pics right.

Really, there is a form and everything in the sticky... I really dont see why there is such a problem with this... Just look at the sticky, and make like high school and copy that shit!

hate to do this but... been browsing around a little in the for sale threads, and there are a shit ton of threads that werent properly done, and arent getting deleted. So it is clearly bullshit that my thread wasnt approved.. once again..fucking mods...

i think a PM would be nice, with an explanation as to why it will not be approved, instead of just waiting not knowing whats going on with it. i know im human and in the past i would look over a paper or something and look at something 100 times and still not see anything wrong with it.

the thing is is that there are a good amount of the threads that come through and if people dont just take the extra 2 minutes to read the sticky then thats just too bad for them.

Mods are just like you and I. They have bad days like you and I. They don't have super "mod" abilities. I've never met a perfect mod. I've been a mod in many a forum, and that is all I ever heard about was bitch about this or that if things weren't run EXACTLY how they think it should be. If you have a comment, or idea, suggest it. When I joined I didn't even have a Mustang, and was a newbie on the pimple of a butt of another newbie, yet I wasn't treated horribly, or flamed because of it. Of course I tried my best to not act pretentious, or cocky. I was in no position. Wasn't then, not now. I'm still a newb. I just moved off another newb's butt pimple. :p
