Database Errors for MM site

For the last 3 days I'm randomly running into latency on the site along with Database errors. If I refresh a time or two within a few minutes, everything starts to work again.

Any known issues with MM hosting?

Who knows, but I have the same problem alot. Its getting old too. Along with it being slow as fuck.

It started around the time the ads and membership stuff. GG MM

I have spent time off the site because of it. And yes its that bad.

The past couple days its been happening to me every 30 minutes or so when I click a new link. When it happens I just stay away for a while and then come back later.

Sometimes I cant even get on it. It literally takes like 5 mins sometimes. I get tired of refreshing and closing/reopening the tab. Never mind the 2-3 mins it takes to load when I click on a link.

And to be honest I figured if they had more and larger ads, and getting paid memberships it would speed up not slow down.

nice to know it's not just me. i logged in yesterday for the first time since October and figured it was due to all the ads and shit. and what's with the "upgrade my membership" link?

Just away to help with the site. I dont think its a bad idea at all. Just weird they are doing this to get more money and the quality of the site goes down.

Now Im sure its something they are working on fixing. Its just strange.

Maybe it's like those torrent sites, "upgrade for faster speed".. LOL j/k

When the error occurs it does say the site administrator has been notified so hopefully someone is aware of it and researching the problem.

Less adds, more storage, some MM stickers (i believe). This brings the question again, if upgraded members are not getting the problem, maybe it's related to the adds? Somehow I doubt it though.

If you value the site it is worth it. Its called giving back. Where else can you get a lifetime of entertainment for 40$

a lot of people don't understand the cost in running / maintaining sites like these.. it's a LOT of work and money which is why ads start coming into play. I'll be going lifetime after Christmas.. damn kids are sucking me DRY but I guess it's okay to diver some $$ from mods to kids once or twice a year. hahahaha.

actually, i do value the site. i've been here for over 4 years, made a lot of friends (for real, as in actually in real life) and had a lot of laughs. i've doled out what i think was pretty decent advice, and i've gotten the same in return. i've seen folks fall on hard times and have shelled out a few bucks to help them out without hesitation. but the idea of paying $40 bucks for a sticker and a badge under my sn just doesn't seem worth it to me...

It's not just a sticker. You get other perks as well.
