Serious suggestion relating to the v6 section.

Ok I know I am going to get laughed at by the mods, and thats fine. But just over the last few days I have been frequenting the v6 section like usual. And almost NONE of the threads are tech, or don't stay tech for more than a couple posts. Reasons for this are various reasons, but unfortunately some of the "experienced 6'ers" don't even want to go in there anymore including myself. Now I don't know if you guys want us members to report a thread in there when it gets too out of tech talk so you can step in, or what.

But a random idea came to mind just a couple minutes ago about maybe adding a section in the v6 section that you need a certain post count to get to. To maybe get away from all the exhaust threads, HID threads, and just the lame threads that technically aren't even tech related. Just about the look of the car. It was just an idea, and feel free to shoot my down and say "Can't happen" but I know some of the older v6 members would probably frequent it much more and start contributing a little more knowing a noob can't troll the thread away from its original meaning of being posted in the first place.

Say for example, someone posts a build thread about what they are going to tackle on their car. Maybe asks a couple questions here and there about things they aren't sure about. Then someone comes in a few posts later and completely thread jacks it for their own benefit and the OP doesn't even acknowledge their own thread anymore because it has gone too far off track, to the point of no return. It then in turn makes the OP not even want to post the progress or finished pictures/videos that could really help other v6 members out.

But like I said it was just a thought, feel free to shoot it down. Figured I might as well suggest it, doesn't hurt to ask right? I just think it would also save you guys some work on closing threads because old members getting in fights with new members over the stupid things the new member is either intentionally or unintentionally saying. Thanks for reading

Thanks buddy, I am sure if other older contributors to the V6 section saw this suggestion they would agree too.

pm them lol...the only big downside to this is that would leave certain people to misguide the new members when they join

I would personally still frequent the other section so to speak. I just wouldn't post up any build threads or things I know would get steered into the wrong direction quick. I would post up my opinion or the answer to their question, if they told me I was wrong or went off tech like the majority of the threads get I would just leave it at that so the thread died.
