Why does autoguide hate tirerack?

For some reason, when I post a link to tirerack, it redirects to autoguide's website. As shown on this thread:

Tirerack, in addition to being a great company, also provides a lot of great info. Just wondering why autoguide doesn't like tirerack.

I noticed the same thing about two years ago. At some other random autoguide sites I tired, they are blocked as well.

Based on some autoguide forum searching and this is all speculation... About the time Discount Tire representatives started showing up in the various autoguide forums, the Tirerack representation and forum participants disappeared. Probably a mutual agreement between them, a golf game gone bad, or some strange event that might make a Jerry Springer episode. Who knows.

Either way, it does seem a little over the top to specifically block tirerack.com and pretend they don't exist. They are a good resource.
